Job summary

Brookfield Properties Multifamily LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for a high‑complexity multi‑unit property located at 1110 Key Federal Hill. You will supervise, coordinate, and perform general maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and housekeeping tasks to ensure top property standards.

The role requires 3–4 years of commercial or multi‑unit maintenance experience, English communication, and preferred HVAC/Electrical/Appliance certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires English communication skills and ability to supervise a maintenance team.
• Experience in multi‑unit property maintenance is preferred.
• Certifications in HVAC/Electrical/Appliances are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance staff.
• Recommend new hires, discipline staff, and participate in performance appraisals.
• Train, coach, and communicate with maintenance personnel.
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment including HVAC systems.
• Diagnose problems, disassemble units, clean, lubricate, and replace parts.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as installing doors and drywall.
• Perform electrical tasks including lighting and wiring inspections.
• Perform plumbing tasks and fix fixtures and pipes.
• Interface with contractors and vendors, create specifications, and secure bids.

Position Summary

Supervises, coordinates, and performs activities for the general maintenance of a multi‑unit residential property with higher complexity, including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance staff.
• Recommend new hires, discipline staff, and contribute to performance appraisals.
• Train, coach, and communicate with maintenance personnel.
• Perform or assign repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment (HVAC, heating, air conditioning).
• Diagnose problems, disassemble units, clean, lubricate, repair, and replace parts.
• Perform or assign carpentry duties such as installing or repairing doors, doorjambs, moldings, hinges, door closers, locks, knobs, drywall, plaster, and paint.
• Perform or assign electrical duties including inspecting and testing lighting, wiring, and power circuits, and replacing faulty switches, lamps, and ballasts.
• Perform or assign plumbing duties such as unclogging sinks and toilets, repairing faucets, assemblies, and replacing washers or pipes.
• Interface with contractors and vendors, create written specifications, secure bids, solicit bids, and negotiate with vendors.

Qualifications

Required education: High School diploma or GED. 3–4 years of commercial or multi‑unit property maintenance experience. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English. Multilingual skills are a plus.

Compensation

Commensurate with experience, $25.80 – $36.12 per hour.
