Maloney Properties LLC in Cambridge and Somerville, MA is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of a large affordable housing portfolio. You will supervise in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, scheduling, budgeting, and liaise with contractors, while mentoring staff and maintaining high resident service standards.

• Oversee work orders: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff.
• Maintain high levels of resident service.
• Coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Track inventory and operate within budget.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance personnel.
• Ensure quality of work.
• Plan and document preventive maintenance programs and inspections.
• Manage Yardi work orders and communicate project status.

Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of a large portfolio of affordable housing in Cambridge and Somerville, MA. Working closely with the Multi-Site Facilities Manager, the selected candidate will ensure the properties are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing, scheduling, and performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.
• Overseeing completion of work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Training and mentoring staff.
• Maintaining an elevated level of customer service for our residents.
• Working with contractors as needed.
• Maintaining inventory and working within a budget.
• Scheduling and supervising maintenance personnel.
• Ensuring the quality of work performed.
• Planning and documenting preventative maintenance programs and preparing for property inspections.
• Managing the Yardi work order system and communicating with the team about the status of ongoing projects.

The work hours are 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with on-call duties shared on rotation.
