Conifer Realty, a leader in affordable housing, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor in Hempstead, NY to lead a team ensuring safe, well-maintained communities. You will supervise work orders, preventive maintenance, and on-call duties, driving resident satisfaction.

You bring HVAC certification and 5+ years in residential maintenance, including supervision, with strong skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience including supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• On-call responsiveness within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer's quality and safety.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.

Maintenance Supervisor - Affordable Housing | Hempstead, NY

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 40hrs | On-Call Rotation

What You'll Bring as a Maintenance Supervisor

You're organized, dependable, and skilled in both leadership and repair work. You bring:

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).
