Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Yonkers, NY to lead a team responsible for affordable housing communities. You will oversee repairs, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure resident satisfaction while maintaining safety and compliance.

Salary is competitive with full-time hours, typically 7:30–4:00, with on-call rotation. Candidates should have 5+ years of maintenance experience and HVAC certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.

Maintenance Supervisor – Affordable Housing | Yonkers, NY

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 - 4:00 | On-Call Rotation

What You’ll Bring As a Maintenance Supervisor

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections. When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities. Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours. Work schedules are subject to change based on business needs and property performance.

Salary Description: $30 - $35 / hour
