Job summary

Elgen Staffing represents a nationwide manufacturer seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Cicero, NY. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in industrial maintenance with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, high-speed packaging equipment, and plant electrical systems, plus supervisory experience.

You will coordinate daily maintenance across three shifts, support CI initiatives, and help optimize production while advancing safety and ARC Flash compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; will consider overall work history.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years progressive leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment.
• Excellent mechanical skills and knowledge of plant electrical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
• ARC Flash and plant safety familiarity (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all day-to-day maintenance activities (changeovers, PMs, breakdowns, safety initiatives).
• Oversees and directs daily workload across 3 shifts.
• Provide technical and operational support for plant infrastructure maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
• Work with Production Group in daily/weekly scheduling to optimize productivity.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in managing plant electrical grid and PLC programs.
• Assist with ARC Flash program and plant safety.

Job description

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of glass and metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, to join their winning team in Cicero.

Our candidate of choice will have 5 to 8 years of experience working in maintenance-related work in an industrial environment, with familiarity and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, High-Speed Packing Equipment, Plant Electrical Systems, and conveyor systems. You will also need an understanding of manufacturing practices, and previous supervisory experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and manage all day-to-day maintenance activities. (Changeovers, PMs, Breakdowns, safety initiatives,

• Excellent verbal and written communication, math, and computer skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment.
• Manage multiple projects with the flexibility of adapting to changing priorities.
• Previous experience working with high-speed packaging equipment.
• Excellent mechanical skills, abilities, and experience
• Experience working with plant-level power and electrical systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• At Least 5 Years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Leadership experience within very large- complex manufacturing facilities is strongly preferred.
