Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Remelt Maintenance Supervisor to direct installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools and equipment. You will set priorities, schedule repairs, and guide the maintenance team to support the production plan.

The role requires 3–5+ years in mechanical or electrical maintenance in heavy industrial or foundry environments with prior leadership. Strong technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred, and

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial or foundry environment, often with prior leadership experience
• Strong technical understanding across a wide range of areas, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle, and other relevant software for this role.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes

Responsibilities

• Direct installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools and equipment.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed and safety measures are adhered to.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on equipment and systems.
• Update SOPs and work instructions as needed.
• Complete paperwork neatly and accurately (e.g., work orders).
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, spare parts, and other equipment.

What you will be doing

Job Summary:

The Remelt Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. This role has responsibility in executing work priorities to team members based on production demands/needs, directs team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, supports product development and improvements

• Assists in the design, implementation, and modifications of preventative maintenance programs.
• Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality as needed.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed, training is executed to team members, and safety measures are adhered to.
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing the technical capabilities and skills of less experienced team members as needed and appropriate.
• Update SOP’s and work instructions as needed.
• Complete all paperwork neatly and accurately (ie: work orders).
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, and other equipment to perform job duties

What will make you successful?

Required:

3 to 5+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial or foundry environment, often with prior leadership experience

Preferred:

• Strong technical understanding across a wide range of areas, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle, and other relevant software for this role.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes
