Job summary

Golden Rose Care Center in Pasadena, California seeks a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the physical plant, ensure safe operation of essential equipment, and maintain life safety code compliance.

You will coordinate with outside contractors, manage the department budget and inventory, supervise housekeeping and laundry as needed, and adapt to varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Golden Rose Care Center, a skilled nursing and subacute facility, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and patient care equipment are in safe operating condition.

About the Role

• Maintain all essential mechanical, electrical, and patient care equipment in safe operating condition
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and analytic ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
• Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors, trades-people in construction, repair, and maintenance of physical plant and equipment
• Manage departmental budget, ordering supplies, and tracking inventory
• Current knowledge of state and federal laws, codes, and regulations that apply to maintenance services and records of long-term care
• Assure compliance with regulations as they relate to maintenance department and life safety code
• May supervise housekeeping and laundry departments

Requirements

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing home and knowledge of life safety codes
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment as needed
