Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing home and knowledge of life safety codes.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all essential mechanical, electrical, and patient care equipment in safe operating condition.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions with analytical approach.
• Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors and tradespeople.
• Manage departmental budget, ordering supplies, and inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal maintenance laws, codes, and life safety regulations.
• May supervise housekeeping and laundry departments.
