Vicar's Landing, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the efficient repairs and maintenance of facilities. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring safety protocols, and managing the preventive maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in maintenance management and a team-oriented attitude.
JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor works under the general supervision and direction of the Director of Plant Operations to accomplish timely and efficient repairs and maintenance to the physical plant facilities of Vicar's Landing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Employee ensures that an effective preventive maintenance program is performed on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, dietary, housekeeping, and medical equipment with frequencies based upon manufacturers suggested best practice maintenance procedures, as well as the procedure mandated by all facility related regulatory agencies and that the results are immediately documented for inspection.
2. Employee must have the ability to effectively supervise the Plant Operations technical staff in the performance of the tasks required of their positions while ensuring that work orders are correctly received, prioritized, assigned, and expedited within the required seventy-two-hour time frame. Supervision will be hands-on and should involve direct assistance and ongoing instruction to plant operations technicians.
3. Employee must work closely with the Plant Operations Administrative Assistant to ensure proper entry and follow-up of work orders into the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). A weekly record of outstanding and overdue work orders will be prepared and made available to the Director of Plant Operations for review. The Plant Operations Director, Maintenance Supervisor and Administrative Assistant will address these work orders during bi-weekly meetings.
4. Maintenance supervisor is responsible for helping to ensure the safety and well-being of Vicar's Landing members, staff, and guests by working closely with the Director of Plant Operations on matter of personal, fire, and life safety throughout the entire campus.
5. Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Director of Plant Operations with maintenance related projects as assigned and will also assist with major capital projects as assigned by DPO.
6. Maintenance Supervisor will maintain the level of inventory of parts and supplies on hand to ensure the timely performance of repair and replacement of facility equipment. He will utilize the purchase order system and prepare a PO form for all purchases to be approved by the DPO.
7. Maintenance Supervisor must be able to work in a courteous and respectful manner with other staff, Supervisors, Managers, and Department Heads at all times.
8. Maintenance Supervisor must possess a willingness and desire to serve the staff, members, and guests of Vicar's Landing with a positive "can-do", team-oriented attitude with best represents the philosophy of Vicar's Landing and Life Care Pastoral Services, Inc.
9. The Maintenance Supervisor must be available to assist with evacuation procedures in a role designated by the Director of Plant Operations.
10. The Maintenance Supervisor will inform DPO of all major equipment or facility breakdowns upon discovery of said breakdown and continue to report the status of repairs until repairs are completed and equipment is returned to service.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk hear, and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Employee must have excellent balance and be able to climb a ladder and walk around a roof. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and be able to work at heights. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus as well as work on a computer for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to communicate verbally with other on the phone or in person.
