Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor provides functional leadership to the Facilities Maintenance staff, including shared responsibility for hiring, training, coaching, and progressive discipline. The Supervisor oversees the safe and continuous operation of material handling, building systems, refrigeration (where applicable), and other assets. They coordinate the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient maintenance activities. The Supervisor manages a team of 5+ technicians and may oversee a site in the absence of a Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision and Development: Supervise 5+ technicians across various maintenance disciplines. Oversee performance, provide technical support, ensure coverage, manage employee discipline, attendance, and assist with hiring in partnership with the Manager.
2. Maintenance Coordination and Support: Provide technical support, manage schedules, and oversee preventive and general maintenance programs.
3. Vendor and Outsourced Work Management: Oversee external vendors and contractors to ensure standards and timelines are met.
4. Operational Metrics and CMMS Management: Analyze operational data, manage CMMS inputs, and monitor scheduled tasks.
5. Inventory and Asset Management: Monitor parts inventory, analyze performance data, and manage asset transfers and retirements.
6. Administrative and Leadership Support: Support payroll accuracy, work assignments, participate in leadership meetings, and cover site responsibilities when needed.
7. Travel: Not required.

Work Environment

• Warehouse environments with temperatures ranging from perishable (28F to 60F), grocery (50F to 90F), and office settings (65F to 75F).

Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or technical/trade focus; BS in Management or Engineering is a plus.
• Strong technical aptitude, computer skills, experience with CMMS preferred.
• Physical ability to perform job duties.

Experience

• 5-7 years in facilities management with maintenance focus; CMMS experience is advantageous.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or Engineering Mechanics, or High School Diploma.
