Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor provides functional leadership to the Facilities Maintenance staff, including shared responsibility for hiring, training, coaching, and progressive discipline. The Supervisor oversees the safe and continuous operation of material handling, building, refrigeration (if applicable), and other assets. They coordinate the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient maintenance activities. The Supervisor directly manages a team of 5+ technicians and may oversee a site in the absence of a Manager.

• Team Supervision and Development: Supervise 5+ technicians across various specialties, oversee performance, provide technical support, ensure coverage during absences, and handle employee discipline, attendance, and hiring in partnership with the Manager.
• Maintenance Coordination and Support: Provide technical support, manage schedules, oversee preventative maintenance, and coordinate labor performance for maintenance activities.
• Vendor and Outsourced Work Management: Oversee external vendors and manufacturers' representatives, ensuring quality and timeliness of work.
• Operational Metrics and CMMS Management: Analyze daily metrics, manage CMMS inputs, audit data, and monitor scheduled tasks.
• Inventory and Asset Management: Monitor parts usage, ensure accurate inventory, and utilize CMMS reports for performance analysis and asset management.
• Administrative and Leadership Support: Support payroll, work assignments, participate in leadership meetings, and assume site responsibility in the absence of the Manager.
• Travel Required: No

Environment

• Warehouse environments with temperatures ranging from 28F to 90F, including perishable, grocery, and office temperature warehouses.

Skills

• Educational Background: High School Diploma with technical trades focus, BS in Management or Engineering preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical aptitude, computer skills, experience with CMMS systems is a plus.

Years of Experience

• 5-7 years in facilities management with maintenance focus; experience with CMMS systems is advantageous.
