Job description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the daily operations and maintenance of equipment and facilities, oversee safety initiatives, and coordinate projects within the plant.

Shift:

6am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Compensation:

Estimated pay range: $84,400 - $103,100.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage daily activities of maintenance team and communicate with Plant Manager.
  2. Support operational departments by maintaining equipment and resolving mechanical issues.
  3. Foster a positive work environment focusing on personal development, training, and safety.
  4. Create, analyze, and assign maintenance work orders; follow up until completion.
  5. Plan and execute projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  6. Control inventories, order parts, and communicate with vendors to improve operations and reduce costs.
  7. Assist in scheduling maintenance tasks to ensure project completion.
  8. Maintain food safety and quality in support of SQF standards, ensuring a sanitary work environment.
  9. Support SQF audits through documentation and maintenance procedures.
  10. Serve as backup for maintenance technicians during absences.
  11. Hire, train, supervise, and develop maintenance staff.
  12. Develop and update maintenance policies and procedures.
  13. Review service agreements and recommend improvements.
  14. Implement and oversee preventative maintenance systems.
  15. Oversee and train contractors working on-site.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a plant or manufacturing setting; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Food or beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems; PLCs and ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors and contractors.

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for at least 4 hours.
  • Sitting occasionally for extended periods.

  • Occasional bending and twisting.
  • Light lifting (up to 50 lbs) infrequently over 100 ft.
  • Infrequent pushing/pulling under 75 lbs without assistance.
