Job summary

Randstad USA is expanding its maintenance team and hiring three Maintenance Supervisors for first shift to lead technicians, manage line setups, and keep automated food processing lines running safely. The role requires a minimum of three years as a manager and a High School diploma.

You will drive preventive maintenance, supervise changeovers, and ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, FDA, and USDA standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of managerial experience in a maintenance role.
• Experience supervising maintenance technicians on automated lines.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA) and lockout/tagout (LOTO).

Responsibilities

• Direct, train, and mentor shift maintenance technicians; assign daily work orders and manage shift handovers.
• Provide hands-on leadership during equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance Planner and log tasks in the CMMS.
• Oversee maintenance for high-speed forming machines, steam/boiling equipment, fryers, freezers, and packaging equipment.
• Coordinate changeovers and setups between production runs with Production Supervisors.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with food-safety regulations and proper tool accounting.
• Identify root causes of downtime and propose mechanical or electrical improvements.

We are expanding our team and hiring three (3) Maintenance Supervisors—one for each shift—to lead our maintenance technicians, manage line setups, and keep automated food processing lines running smoothly and safely.

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year

Shift: First

Work hours: 7 AM - 3 PM

Education: High School

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Direct, train, and mentor shift maintenance technicians; assign daily work orders, set clear performance expectations, and manage shift handovers.
• Emergency & Reactive Troubleshooting: Provide hands‑on leadership during critical machine breakdowns to safely minimize downtime on high‑speed food processing and packaging lines.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM) Execution: Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure PM tasks are completed on schedule and logged in the plant CMMS.
• Equipment & Process Focus: Oversee maintenance for high‑speed forming machines, continuous steam/boiling equipment, commercial fryers, blast freezers, spiral freezers, and automated packaging equipment.
• Shift Line Changeovers & Setups: Coordinate machine conversions and setup adjustments between product production runs in partnership with Production Supervisors.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks strictly comply with SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, LOTO, and plant safety regulations; oversee proper tool‑accounting protocols to prevent physical contamination.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify root causes of recurring downtime and suggest mechanical/electrical process modifications to enhance long‑term equipment reliability.
