Job summary

Randstad USA in McDonough, GA is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the night shift to keep high-speed production, packaging and utility equipment running safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and PLCs, performing planned and unplanned maintenance, reading schematics, documenting work in CMMS, and contributing to minimum downtime in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging and processing equipment and utilities.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and AC/DC drive systems.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and review SPC data as needed.
• Document completed work orders in CMMS and communicate issues to teams.
• Maintain inventory by tracking parts and supplies and reporting low levels.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, maximum efficiency, and safety of our high-speed automated production, packaging, and utility equipment.The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills spanning mechanical systems, electrical control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs, with a focus on minimizing unplanned downtime in a fast-paced environment.

salary: $63,000 - $84,000 per year

shift: Third

work hours: 6 PM - 6 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform the proper function of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging and processing equipment, and utility systems.
• Successfully perform troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
• Accurately read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform preventative maintenance (i.e., conducting computerized preventative maintenance check-ups or reading SPC charts and data) as needed.
• Ensure proper function of the line manufacturing support systems (line/lube delivery, resin delivery, process systems, operational support.)
• Accurately complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS to maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees; notifying them of problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency.
• Complete all paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format, including all required information and documentation following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by checking parts out of inventory and assigning them to the proper work order, report low supply levels to Supervisor.

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
