Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management in Monroe, NC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the center's on-site maintenance program and lead a team of technicians responsible for mechanical, electrical and resident-care equipment. You will ensure work is performed safely, on time, and to high standards.

You’ll manage performance, coordinate with outside contractors, enforce building and safety codes, and drive upgrades to keep the facility running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of properties and facilities maintenance experience.
• Healthcare setting maintenance experience a plus.
• Experience supervising and managing maintenance staff a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the center's on-site maintenance program, including essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment, as well as maintenance staff.
• Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
• Diagnoses technical and mechanical problems and facilitate repairs.
• Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
• Oversees safety program and preventative maintenance.
• In absence of a security officer, may be responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, residents and all visitors
• Coordinates and oversees activities of outside contractors, trades people in construction, repair and maintenance of physical plant and equipment.
• Apply building and safety codes to facility situations and maintenance procedures to meet acceptable standards of quality.
• Makes prompt efforts to resolve all residents and staff concerns or grievances related to facilities and conditions under the incumbent's direction
