Job summary

PinellasPoint is seeking a hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor to lead on-site maintenance in a healthcare setting. You will oversee mechanical/electrical systems, supervise the maintenance team, and coordinate with contractors to keep the facility safe and well-maintained.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, timely repairs, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality resident care and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of properties and facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience a plus; supervisory experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage the center's on-site maintenance program, including essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment, as well as maintenance staff.
• Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and conduct timely performance appraisals.
• Diagnose technical and mechanical problems and facilitate repairs.
• Maintain facility and grounds aesthetics.
• Oversee safety program and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate activities of outside contractors and tradespeople.
• Apply building and safety codes to meet quality standards.
• Maneuver residents and staff concerns regarding facilities and conditions.

Requirements:

• In absence of a security officer, may be responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, residents and all visitors
• Coordinates and oversees activities of outside contractors, trades people in construction, repair and maintenance of physical plant and equipment.
• Apply building and safety codes to facility situations and maintenance procedures to meet acceptable standards of quality.
• Makes prompt efforts to resolve all residents and staff concerns or grievances related to facilities and conditions under the incumbent's direction

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of properties and facilities maintenance experience required
• Prior maintenance experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of skilled nursing facilities a plus.
• Prior experience supervising and managing maintenance staff a plus.
