Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance across our properties. You will troubleshoot and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues while guiding a maintenance team to deliver high-quality service to residents.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, practical problem-solving, and a passion for maintaining safe, well-kept communities. On-site, full-time position with opportunities to influence property standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
• EPA Certification and CPO certification are required.
• Strong supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.

• Plan and oversee the maintenance budget to stay within financial guidelines.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop areas with adequate parts and tools.

• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize resident disruption.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

• Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
• EPA Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required).
• Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a resident-focused mindset.
