Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Operations/Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and supervising Maintenance and Janitors at our 24-hour Travel Centers. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and light repair work at our Travel Centers, as well cleaning duties inside and outside the building, and parking lot when necessary.
Job Duties:
· Supervise, monitor and motivate Maintenance and Janitors and ensure that all job duties are performed as required and minimize turnover.
· Schedule Maintenance and Janitors.
· Clean bathrooms every hour (check every 15-30 minutes)
· Wipe gas pumps from top to bottom once per shift and change windshield water daily
· Sweep/wash area around the pumps daily, removing all trash, dirt, and anything that you wouldn’t want to step in or on
· Clean/wipe front area including newspaper holders, trashcans, window ledges and tables once per shift
· Stock the cooler throughout the day and night – including fronting and rotating the inventory
· Clean the Diesel Area once per shift, change windshield water, and inspect all equipment
· Pressure wash all concrete around the store and pumps once per week – small areas done daily should equal all around store washed weekly
· Ensure ice machine is kept full and ice maker is constantly making ice
· Change all refrigerator filters monthly
· Change all air conditioner filters monthly
· Clean fountain drink drains monthly
· Clean all ceiling fans at least twice per year
· Clean all air vents monthly
· Clean restaurant hood vents monthly
· Clean the hog monthly
· Clean under cooler shelves monthly
· Meet w/ ADEQ and other government officials
· Be on call 24/7 and cover shifts when necessary
· Performs other job duties as assigned
· Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
Qualification and Skills:
· High School Diploma or GED preferred
· Maintenance/janitorial experience required
· Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
· Ability to operate industrial machinery, bend, squat, stoop and carry loads up to 50 lbs
· Willingness to work in a hot or dirty environment and on your feet for 8-hour shifts
· Ability to troubleshoot and do light repair work
· Ability to supervise other employees
· Must have a working cell phone
· Must have reliable transportation and be available to come in on short notice
Uniform and Appearance Requirements:
· Must wear clean Maintenance Uniform at all times - once it has been supplied to you
· Tennis shoes or work boots
· Prior to receiving your Maintenance Uniform, you must wear a clean Workman’s t-shirt and clean denim pants
· Deodorant must be worn and a high level of personal hygiene maintained
