Job summary

Deercreekseniorliving is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee preventive maintenance of the facility, equipment and grounds, and to troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will ensure services are available for emergencies outside regular hours and coordinate licensed vendors as needed.

You will also assist residents with moving and minor repairs, uphold safety standards, manage priorities, and work with a respectful, patient approach toward residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance or building operations.
• Ability to supervise a maintenance team and coordinate tasks.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical wiring and mechanical components.

Ensures that maintenance services are available for emergency needs that may arise outside of regular working hours. Performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance with tasks when needed. Assists residents with moving and minor repairs.Critical Success FactorsPractices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in building maintenance.Prior experience in managing a team.Must possess knowledge of the following:Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration.Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage.Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines.Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.We are an equal opportunity employer.
