Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. ( Deercreek Senior Living community ) is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead preventative maintenance of our facility, grounds and equipment.

You will respond to maintenance needs and coordinate licensed vendors as required, while assisting residents with moving and minor repairs. Strong candidates will have prior building maintenance experience, team leadership skills, and comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general mechanics.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Experience managing a team.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative maintenance of the facility, equipment and grounds.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and coordinate after-hours emergency maintenance.
• Supervise licensed vendors as needed for specialized tasks.
• Assist residents with moving and minor repairs.

Ensures that maintenance services are available for emergency needs that may arise outside of regular working hours. Performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance with tasks when needed. Assists residents with moving and minor repairs.Critical Success FactorsPractices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in building maintenance.Prior experience in managing a team.Must possess knowledge of the following:Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration.Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage.Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines.Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.We are an equal opportunity employer.
