JMS Technical Solutions in Lewistown, PA, seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our production facility's maintenance program. You will oversee technicians, manage downtime, and drive reliability and safety across electrical, mechanical, and crane systems.

This onsite, direct-hire role requires strong leadership, hands-on expertise with three-phase power, and a track record of improving uptime in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical background with extensive Three-Phase system knowledge.
• Experience with cranes, hoists, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and collaborate with production leadership.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop maintenance technicians and janitorial staff.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance activities in alignment with production goals.
• Coordinate maintenance operations with plant leadership to support safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Manage contractor relationships, labor utilization, and department budgets.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain 208V, 240V, and 480V Three-Phase electrical systems.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radio-controlled overhead cranes and hoists.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and predictive technologies.
• Lead Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety compliance.
• Manage work orders, maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory control.

We have partnered one of the nation's most respected and innovative homebuilding organizations, in the search for a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at their production facility in Lewistown, PA. This leader will oversee all maintenance activities, drive equipment reliability, ensure electrical and mechanical excellence, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a seasoned maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: Up to $45/hr

Full time, onsite, direct hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and develop maintenance technicians and janitorial staff, ensuring strong performance, skill growth, and accountability.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance activities in alignment with production goals.
• Coordinate maintenance operations with plant leadership to support safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Manage contractor relationships, labor utilization, and department budgets.

Electrical Maintenance (Three-Phase Systems)

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain 208V, 240V, and 480V Three-Phase electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, starters, contactors, overload devices, VFDs, soft starters, and MCC components.
• Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and one-line diagrams.
• Conduct electrical testing, power distribution troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and all applicable electrical codes.

Crane & Hoist Systems

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radio-controlled overhead cranes and hoists.
• Diagnose wireless control issues, receiver/transmitter failures, and signal communication problems.
• Inspect and maintain hoist motors, brakes, gearboxes, limit switches, and safety devices.
• Oversee crane electrification systems, conductor bars, and festoon systems.
• Coordinate certified inspections and maintain required documentation.

Mechanical & Industrial Maintenance

• Perform troubleshooting and repair on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain dust collection systems, fire suppression systems, bearings, drive systems, and gearboxes.
• Conduct equipment alignment, vibration analysis, welding, and fabrication work.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize uptime.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and predictive technologies.
• Analyze downtime trends and lead root-cause failure investigations.
• Drive reliability improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

• Lead Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety compliance.
• Oversee machine guarding, confined space, hot work, and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.

Administrative & Technical Systems

• Manage work orders, maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Oversee tool crib supplies and spare parts management.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to track maintenance performance.
