Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep and repair of plant machinery and structures. You will communicate with production and management on issues within the facility and supervise maintenance staff.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of block production, mechanical and welding skills, and the ability to plan preventive maintenance while ensuring safety. This full-time role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Organize and plan maintenance each day
• Prepare for scheduled maintenance
• Responsible for organization of schedules for special projects, in addition to preventative maintenance
• Maintain good house-keeping within shop and all maintenance areas
• Responsible for adherence to safety rules and making certain all monthly safety meetings are held with all maintenance employees in attendance
• Order parts needed for special projects and regular maintenance supplies
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Responsible for training and supervising other members of maintenance team

Compensation

• Pay Rate for this position is $43-$46/ hr
• Paid Time Off - 120 hours per calendar year (pro-rated in first year)
