Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking a maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment at the Marble Falls, TX plant. You will communicate with production and management on all maintenance issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, planning daily maintenance, performing scheduled work, and training other team members. Candidates should have mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills with a strong

• Must have knowledge in block production or similar manufacturing processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with weld/fabrication work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Plan daily maintenance activities and schedules.
• Prepare for scheduled maintenance and preventative tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe work practices in the shop.
• Order parts for maintenance projects and track supplies.

Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Communicate with production and management on all issues within the plant.

Job Location

• This is an onsite role based in Marble Falls, TX

Job Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Organize and plan maintenance each day
• Prepare for scheduled maintenance
• Responsible for organization of schedules for special projects, in addition to preventative maintenance
• Maintain good house-keeping within shop and all maintenance areas
• Responsible for adherence to safety rules and making certain all monthly safety meetings are held with all maintenance employees in attendance
• Order parts needed for special projects and regular maintenance supplies
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Responsible for training and supervising other members of maintenance team

Job Requirements

• Must have knowledge in block production
• Possess mechanical, hydraulic, welding and fabrication abilities
• Computer skills a plus
• Teamwork and problem solving a must
• PLC programming / understanding a plus
