Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery across our manufacturing facilities. You will work under the Maintenance Manager to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong electrical skills, PLC familiarity, and hands-on experience with conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Overtime may be required, and the team prioritizes reliability and safe operation of all plant

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong electrical background; familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
• Basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling parts for repair.
• Operate shop tools and machines related to maintenance according to skill level.
• Perform repairs on power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.
• Assist in installing new plant equipment.
• Maintain production equipment to optimize uptime and ensure safe, timely manufacture of quality coatings.
• Improve reliability and efficiency of plant equipment.
• Maintenance for PLC-based equipment.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to support maintenance tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure operation of all equipment safely.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit
• Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment
• Maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe
• Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed

Job Requirements

• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong electrical background required, familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors
• Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems
• Must have basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

• The hourly pay is $28-$30, based on experience
