Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery and structures in Burnet, Texas. You will communicate with production and management on all issues, ensuring uptime and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, planning daily maintenance, coordinating special projects, and training maintenance staff. A background in block production and mechanical trades is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge in block production.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, welding and fabrication abilities.
• Computer skills a plus.
• Teamwork and problem solving a must.
• PLC systems understanding a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Organize and plan maintenance each day.
• Prepare for scheduled maintenance.
• Manage schedules for special projects and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain clean work areas (shop and maintenance zones).
• Adhere to safety rules and lead monthly safety meetings with maintenance staff.
• Order parts needed for projects and maintenance.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines and diagnose issues with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Train and supervise maintenance team members.

Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Communicate with production and management on all issues within the plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Organize and plan maintenance each day
• Prepare for scheduled maintenance
• Responsible for organization of schedules for special projects, in addition to preventative maintenance
• Maintain good house-keeping within shop and all maintenance areas
• Responsible for adherence to safety rules and making certain all monthly safety meetings are held with all maintenance employees in attendance
• Order parts needed for special projects and regular maintenance supplies
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Responsible for training and supervising other members of maintenance team
