Job summary

LR Management is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Michigan to support the Property Manager in safety, maintenance, and equipment across the community. The role requires hands-on expertise across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs to maintain curb appeal and functioning systems.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in a similar role, EPA/HVAC certifications, and experience with Yardi. Growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Technician in a multi-family apartment setting or equivalent industry.
• HVAC and EPA Certification is required.
• Experience with Yardi is preferred.
• Experience estimating maintenance timelines and project costs.
• Ability to set goals and create action plans within budget.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the property with the Property Manager.
• Schedule projects in vacant apartments to ensure timely completions.
• Manage large capital projects: bidding, supervising contractors, reviewing work.
• Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve issues.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to work with the Property Manager to ensure and coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the property, along with overall requirements of the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working knowledge of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, changing locks and cutting keys, make ready punch lists, carpentry, landscaping, and general curb appeal


• Ordering supplies for inventory


• Scheduling projects in vacant apartments ahead of time to get work completed in a timely manner


• Managing large capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors and sub-contractors, and reviewing completed work


• Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve any issues

• Pool certification preferred
