Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to supervise and direct maintenance technicians at our Juneau facility, a 24/7 operation producing spray dried yeast for food and BioNutrient applications.

You will lead a team, plan PMs and daily work, oversee projects and budget, and drive reliability through preventive maintenance while partnering with other departments to uphold food quality and employee safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance management/supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance, operations, or engineering experience with root-cause analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting, automation, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, hard wiring and ladder logic controls.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, strategic thinking and prioritization skills.
• Experience using computer systems/maintenance software.
• Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, ammonia, HVAC or drying systems preferred.

• Lead, schedule, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and electricians to complete maintenance work effectively and efficiently in the facility.
• Plan and schedule daily maintenance work (PMs, work orders, etc.).
• Oversee contractors/projects in conjunction with engineering team.
• Oversee and manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budget to ensure the right materials are available when needed and spending falls within budget.
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability through strong preventative maintenance practices, SOPs, and training of maintenance technicians/operators.
• Collaborate with other departments to create a culture that aligns with our food quality and employee safety standards.
