Job summary

LR Management in Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with apartment maintenance experience to join our team. You will work with the Property Manager to ensure safety, maintenance, and equipment needs across the community.

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and capable of leading a team while managing projects, scheduling work in vacant units, and coordinating with vendors to deliver timely results.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Technician in a multi-family setting.
• HVAC and EPA Certification.
• Experience with Yardi and estimating timelines and costs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, locks, punch lists, carpentry, landscaping.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Schedule projects in vacant apartments to ensure timely completion.
• Manage capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors, and review of work.
• Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve issues.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to work with the Property Manager to ensure and coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the property, along with overall requirements of the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working knowledge of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, changing locks and cutting keys, make ready punch lists, carpentry, landscaping, and general curb appeal


• Ordering supplies for inventory


• Scheduling projects in vacant apartments ahead of time to get work completed in a timely manner


• Managing large capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors and sub-contractors, and reviewing completed work


• Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve any issues

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (preferred) or Technician in a multi-family apartment setting or equivalent industry.


• HVAC and EPA Certification


• Experience with Yardi


• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair timelines and costs associated with projects


• The ability to set goals and create a plan to accomplish them


• The ability to understand and work within a budget


• Knowledge of property management at the leasing and administrative levels.


• Intermediate computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.


• Proven time management skills in meeting deadlines and achieving goals


• The ability to create a team-centered environment and lead that team effectively


• The ability to take direction from leadership and follow through on the directive


• Pool certification preferred
