Job summary

Bento Sushi is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for both day and overnight shifts at the California Food Factory in Fullerton, CA. You will lead a maintenance team, oversee preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability in a fast-paced food processing environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will manage work orders, coordinate with production, and maintain records while complying with GMP and Food Safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Experience supervising maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities with focus on productivity and minimum downtime.
• Lead preventive maintenance tasks ensuring safety and quality.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues in machinery and facilities.
• Monitor work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Collaborate with production to address equipment performance and improvements.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and supplies to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and company policies.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - DAY SHIFT AND OVERNIGHT SHIFT

• California Food Factory- 1850 Raymer Avenue Fullerton, CA 92833 | Day Shift: 4:00 am to 1:00 pm and Overnight Shift: 7:00 pm to 4:00 am

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and oversee the upkeep of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising maintenance operations, ensuring machinery reliability, and managing a team in a fast-paced food industrial environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for the team, ensuring optimal productivity and minimal downtime.
• Supervise and execute preventive maintenance tasks and ensure work has been done correctly and safely.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with machinery and facility systems.
• Monitor work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with the production team to address equipment performance issues and recommend improvements.
• Oversee inventory of spare parts and supplies to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Diagnoses and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failure.
• Perform facility maintenance, including plumbing, patching walls, electrical repairs, etc.
• Maintain accurate record of mechanical activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and service logs.
• Follow GMP and Food Safety and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with machinery and facility systems including electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience working in industries such as food processing, or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent people skills, know how to de-escalate tense moments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Know SQF maintenance requirements.
• Able to work on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays if required.
• Know how to tig weld.
• Reliable hardly miss days.
