Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for affordable housing communities in Frederick, MD. You will lead a hands-on team, oversee work orders, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance, while ensuring resident satisfaction and budget adherence.

You’ll manage vendors, coordinate with the Community Manager, respond to on-call emergencies within 30 minutes, and mentor staff to uphold company standards. Strong HVAC certification and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Salary: $27.00 - $29.00 | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 40hrs | On-Call Rotation

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
