Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for our North East, MD communities. You will lead a maintenance team, oversee work orders, and drive preventive maintenance to keep buildings safe, compliant, and welcoming for residents.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in residential maintenance with HVAC certification, strong hand-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and safety compliance, plus experience managing budgets and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
