Job summary

Sero is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure our facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. In this role you will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, manage a team of technicians, and drive a proactive preventive maintenance program that minimizes downtime and maximizes reliability.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and safety standards, and can read schematics and blueprints

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and CMMS software; knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team.
  • Plan and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment issues and coordinate timely repairs.
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with safety regulations (OSHA) and company policies.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory using CMMS or equivalent system.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of tools and materials.
  • Monitor and control the maintenance budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build technical skills.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Partner with production, operations, and facilities teams to plan maintenance around business needs.

Job description

Sero is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure our facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, manage a team of technicians, and drive a proactive approach to preventive maintenance that keeps downtime low and reliability high.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including technicians and contractors
  • Plan and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for equipment, machinery, and facility systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment issues, and coordinate timely repairs
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory using a CMMS or equivalent system
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Monitor and control the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build technical skills and support performance

  • Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Availability to respond to emergencies and work occasional off-hours or weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability-centered maintenance experience
