Role Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations across assigned properties. This role coordinates and supervises maintenance staff, schedules and monitors work orders, and ensures that building systems, equipment, and common areas are maintained to high safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor plans and executes preventive maintenance programs, responds to urgent repair requests, and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise. This position collaborates with property management and vendors to prioritize maintenance needs, manage inventory and supplies, and support compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role also includes training team members, promoting safe work practices, and contributing to a positive resident experience through timely, professional service.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight
• Proficiency in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair for building systems and common areas
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation
• Solid troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Knowledge of building safety codes, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and maintenance reports
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, colleagues, and vendors
• Basic computer skills for work order systems and maintenance tracking tools
• Previous experience in property or facilities maintenance supervision preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trade school training in a relevant field are a plus
