Role Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in McKinney, TX, responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of an apartment community. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating and performing routine and emergency maintenance and repair work on building systems, equipment, and apartment homes. The role involves scheduling and monitoring preventive maintenance, managing work orders, ensuring timely completion of repairs, and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning property. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and train maintenance team members, inspect units and common areas, support make-ready processes for new residents, and collaborate with onsite management to prioritize maintenance needs and resident service requests. This position also involves maintaining inventory of tools and supplies, adhering to safety and compliance standards, and assisting with vendor coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair of building and apartment systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.
• Understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and property maintenance standards.
• Ability to work on-site, respond to urgent issues, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with residents, team members, and vendors in a professional manner.

• Previous residential or multifamily housing maintenance experience is highly beneficial.
