Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Cambridge, OH site. You will lead a production/maintenance team to meet safety, environmental, quality, and cost goals while driving uptime and performance improvements in a heavy industry setting.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical background and proven leadership in a fast-paced environment; relocation within 30 miles of Cambridge may be needed. A union-friendly, hands-on leader is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical background with leadership experience required.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing; steel or hot metal experience a strong plus.
• Location: live within 30 miles of Cambridge plant or relocation possible.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our Cambridge maintenance team. In this role, you will be accountable for leading a production and/or maintenance team, ensuring that all Company safety, environmental, production, quality, maintenance, and cost goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: Lead by example; comply with all safety/environmental requirements and foster a culture of safety engagement.
• Operational Excellence: Maximize productivity and equipment uptime to meet company goals. Track, report, and drive improvements in key operational KPIs.
• Team Development: Coach, mentor, and train team members to promote personal growth and performance consistent with established standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead troubleshooting, preventative maintenance efforts, and drive problem-solving activities using lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Technical Background: Strong mechanical and/or electrical background.
• Experience: Previous leadership experience is required (proven track record of successful safety leadership). Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a must—steel or hot metal experience is a strong plus. Union experience is preferred.
• Location: Must live within 30 miles of the Cambridge plant or be willing to relocate.

Schedule & Environment

• Must be willing to work a 4x4 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments with rapid temperature changes.
