Job summary

Broadmoor Court is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping across the facility and grounds. You will lead staff, manage a maintenance schedule, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The role requires experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general trades, with a focus on safety, documentation, and cost-effective improvements. On-call availability 24/7 and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three to five years of progressive and relevant maintenance experience.
• One year of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical trades.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for the facility.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning for grounds, facility, and equipment following safety procedures.
• Maintain HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems according to schedules.
• Repair walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and doors/locks.
• Lead and supervise staff to sustain a consistently high level of cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner per training received.
• Stock maintenance supplies and ensure proper storage and organization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

The Maintenance Supervisor helps ensure a fully functioning and well-maintained facility by creating a system of preventative maintenance and repairs, overseeing the ongoing maintenance of the building and surrounding property, keeping all equipment in sound working order, leading and supervising the staff to sustain a consistently high level of cleanliness throughout all areas of the facility, and implementing cost-effective improvements to the facility and grounds.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residentsCreates and maintains a regular maintenance schedule for the facilityPerforms routine maintenance and cleaning for the grounds, facility, and equipment following all safety procedures and precautionsMaintains the facility systems, such as HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical, according to maintenance schedulesMaintains and repairs walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and doors/locksResponds to all resident and staff needsStocks maintenance supplies for work areasEnsures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly storedEnsures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policiesEnsures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standardsResponds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training receivedPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications & Physical Requirements:Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressStrong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in fast-paced environmentAble to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to regularly lift 50 pounds, to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standingHighly professional and dependableStrong leadership and motivational skillsAvailable for emergency on-call 24/7Proficient computer and internet skillsMust be familiar with and able to use all hand tools and power tools common to the associated tradesAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as neededEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED preferredThree to five years of progressive and relevant experienceOne year of supervisory or management experienceExperience in a wide variety of trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical) and the tools associated with themThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
