Job summary

HERITAGE OAKS MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISES USA LLC is seeking a Maintenance Staff member to keep community grounds, buildings, and equipment safe and well-maintained. The role involves performing basic repairs, stocking supplies, and supporting the Director of Maintenance with work orders.

The position requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, familiarity with hand and power tools, and strong organization to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and perform bending and standing for long periods.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical trades is preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and complete work orders safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and door/locks.
• Stock maintenance supplies and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies in all tasks.
• Assist with grounds, facilities upkeep, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job description

The Maintenance Staff helps maintain a fully-functioning and clean community by ensuring the grounds, buildings, and equipment are kept in a safe condition. He or she reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and must be able to follow the Director of Maintenance’s instructions and community work orders. The Maintenance Staff should be able to recognize and implement basic repairs for the Community buildings and grounds.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.Performs typical maintenance support to the entire facilityDetects and reports questionable conditions to the Director of MaintenanceMaintains and repairs walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and door/locksStocks maintenance supplies for work areasMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsResponds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training receivedPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications & Physical Requirements:Highly professional and dependableExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressMust be able to regularly lift 50 pounds, to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standingAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as neededStrong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to physically perform the duties of the jobMust be familiar with and able to use all hand tools and power tools common to the associated tradesEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED preferredTwo years of experience preferredExperienced in a wide variety of trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical) and the tools associated with themThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
