Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is a dedicated psychiatric hospital serving adolescents and adults from Birmingham. It features acute inpatient, residential, and group home settings with an average census of 150 patients.

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing the Facilities Maintenance department, ensuring a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This includes maintaining the grounds and interior, completing routine plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks, responding to alarms, ensuring timely work order completion, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college or trade school preferred
  • 3-5 years of general maintenance experience; knowledge of building trades
  • Relevant certifications (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) and permits required by Alabama
  • Leadership skills, organizational ability, and knowledge of healthcare standards
  • Good interpersonal skills, decision-making, and ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills
Key Duties
  • Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate work schedules
  • Assess training needs and ensure safety compliance
  • Manage contractors and procure parts and services
  • Maintain facility systems and ensure safety standards
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work long hours, outdoors or indoors, and lift approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks including CPR
