Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport Field office located in Baltimore, MD. This position will be responsible for the management of preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance of electrical/mechanical assets for multiple projects at BWI/MTN Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This role requires the ability to utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), analyze data, and compile reports. The supervisor will manage personnel, including effective communication and development of junior staff.
This is a designated emergency essential facility, and therefore the ability to work nights, weekends, and during adverse weather conditions will be required. Applicants must be able to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. Must possess a valid driver’s license meeting Maryland law requirements, with less than 5 points. A CDL Class B driver’s license or higher is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to perform confined space entry, including the use of a respirator, and lift fifty (50) pounds.

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate plus 7 years of experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical/mechanical equipment in an industrial setting, including 3 years of supervisory experience. A bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering may substitute for four years of experience. Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a related major may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience, excluding supervisory experience.
