Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent for the Night Shift at our Harvest facility in Lewiston, NC. The role involves managing maintenance staff and overseeing maintenance operations, typically working Monday through Friday from 12:30 am to 7:30 am. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing maintenance work plans; assign methods and procedures.
• Recommend maintenance and operating procedures for new facilities during construction.
• Design layouts for new equipment and process installations, and modifications to existing setups.
• Estimate required equipment, materials, supplies, and labor; supervise repairs of building, mechanical, and structural issues.
• Review work orders; help establish work policies, standards for maintenance and repairs.
• Develop and update a preventive maintenance program using the CMMS to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Identify chronic maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions to improve machine efficiency and reduce costs, utilizing CMMS data.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with USDA regulations and quality standards by training staff and monitoring adherence.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Experience with layout, drafting, project management, ergonomic design, CAD, and USDA requirements.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

May involve moving light equipment, accessing files, and working in plant environments with wet, humid, and noisy conditions, temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F, exposure to chemicals, and the necessity of wearing protective gear.
