Job summary

Planned Companies in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a diligent Superintendent to lead our maintenance team. You will inspect equipment, perform basic repairs, and carry out preventative maintenance, reading blueprints and repair manuals as needed.

The role requires hands-on experience with hand and power tools, strong organizational skills, and the ability to oversee contractors. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a pay rate around $100k and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; related technical college degree preferred.
• Skilled with hand and power tools; able to read blueprints and repair manuals.
• Experience in routine maintenance and diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-oriented abilities.
• Ability to oversee contractors and perform basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Oversee contractors for professional repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and report to management.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting and repairs.
• Repair company machinery, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of outside spaces and manage maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
• Oversee sprinkler system and trash containers.
