Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance across the facility, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting production operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise the maintenance team, plan schedules, develop preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate procurement while upholding safety standards and company policies. Base salary range is $90,005–$109,356 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of directly related maintenance supervision experience.
• Experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills and Haz-Mat qualification ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team members performing repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, buildings, and utility systems.
• Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance activities.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while minimizing downtime.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team members in resolving problems and improving technical capability.
• Support facility improvement projects, enforce company policies, and coordinate procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Superintendent

Pilgrim’s is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production operations, and supervising maintenance team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The maintenance team supports production and facilities by ensuring equipment uptime, safe operations, and efficient maintenance execution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team members performing repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, buildings, and utility systems.


• Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance activities.


• Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while minimizing downtime.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required;


• Experience: Minimum 3 years of directly related maintenance supervision experience; experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing environment preferred;


• Skills: Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, proficiency in plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills and ability to support maintenance systems, and ability to become Haz-Mat team qualified.
