Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to assist the maintenance department with plant upkeep. responsibilities include repairs, routine PMs, safety, and clear communication with other teams.

The role requires basic math, English proficiency, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Weekend availability and mechanical aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math Skill including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to pass Prove It Test
• Two years’ experience in maintenance field preferred
• Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems
• Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools
• Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Supports Station Mechanic and operator basic functions of machinery and equipment
• Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person.
• Initiates and conducts routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision.
• Maintain shop 6 s policies and cleanliness.
• Other duties as required.
