Job summary

High Point Inpatient Campus in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe patient areas and support staff with daily duties. The role requires reliable sanitation, attention to detail, and adherence to hygiene standards.

The position offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, or per diem status across all shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure sanitization and odor control.
• Perform mopping, spill response, trash removal, and waste handling daily.
• Maintain inventory of linens, scrubs, and cleaning supplies; report shortages.
• Follow infection control, PPE, and safety procedures; attend mandatory trainings.
• Coordinate with clinical and support staff to maintain a safe environment.

Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
Pay Range: $20-24/hr depending on experience
Status: Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem
Shift: All Shifts available!

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. • Ensures patient rooms, bathrooms, community areas, staff offices, group rooms, nursing stations, corridors, stairwells, etc., are clean, properly disinfected, sanitized, and free of odor at all times;
• Wet mops daily or as needed;
• Attend to spills immediately;
• Empty trash and clean containers;
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up;
• Clean windows, windowsills and other furnishings;
• Knowledge of chemical handling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS);
• Knowledge of chemical ingredients, mixing dangers and proper storage;
• Knowledge of OSHA safety precautions;
• Knowledge of Infection Control Standards – Hand Washing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Blood spill kits, etc.;
• General knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, disinfecting, etc.;
• Replaces soiled linen, as needed, in patient rooms;
• Handles all Bio-Hazard;
• Utilize standard precautions at all times;
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients/clients as defined by the patient’s right;
• Coordinates with MHS/RS staff to maintain accurate linen and scrubs inventory;
• Attend all unit, facility meeting and supervisions as directed by Supervisor;
• Attend mandatory trainings;
• Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Program Director, or COO.

Housekeeper Qualifications

• Must be no less than 18 years of age;
