Job summary

Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers is seeking a Maintenance Specialist I to join our team. This highly skilled role covers the maintenance and operation of building automation systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment across an FSW campus.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and Journeyman-level maintenance experience with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and work independently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of full-time Journeyman level maintenance experience.
• Experience with air conditioning, heating and ventilating systems.
• Experience with mechanical systems and equipment.
• Experience with medium to high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Experience with direct digital control energy management systems.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Skills using tools common in air conditioning, mechanical and electrical fields.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Florida SouthWestern State Collegeis accepting resumes in search of aMaintenance Specialist I to join our team.This is highly skilled and specialized work in the maintenance and operation of building automation systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment at an FSW campus, assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of full-time experience at a Journeyman level in the performance of maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of commercial and/or industrial building systems to include all of the following:
• Air conditioning, heating, and ventilating systems;
• Mechanical systems and equipment;
• Medium to high-voltage electrical equipment;
• Direct digital control energy management systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance activities and reading blueprints.
• Skills in using tools commonly used in air conditioning, mechanical and electrical fields.
• Proven ability to work independently, understand written and oral instructions, and clearly communicate
