Job Description

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe and functional environment. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair needs, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the company properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Address and resolve maintenance requests promptly, including minor repairs such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, carpentry work, and painting.
  • Diagnose issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and regulations.

Facility Maintenance & Upkeep:

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the building and grounds.
  • Remove trash, clean common areas, and perform seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal, landscaping).
  • Inspect and maintain fire protection systems and building security features.
  • Monitor building cleanliness and report any maintenance needs (e.g., plumbing issues, broken fixtures).
  • Set up and break down furniture for events, meetings, and other activities.
  • Ensure outdoor areas are clean and free of debris.

Tools & Inventory Management:

  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and report reordering needs.
  • Ensure work areas are organized and free of hazards.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of previous applicable experience.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experience utilizing tools and equipment necessary for building and ground maintenance.
  • Ability to continuously be on the go and travel between local facilities as needed.
