Job summary

EverTrue in Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to perform a variety of non-routine and skilled tasks across community buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities include completing CMMS work orders, preparing apartments for move-in, HVAC upkeep, inventory reporting, and life-safety inspections. The role requires physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors, with on-call duties and potential weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferable.
  • HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, small-equipment repair knowledge.
  • EPA refrigerant certification type II required if handling refrigeration.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Proficient with saws, hand tools, carpentry equipment, lawn equipment, and alarm systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos; write simple correspondence.
  • Experience with WorxHUB CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders via CMMS to repair or install equipment and systems.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in, including painting and repairs.
  • Perform HVAC upkeep, inventory tracking, reporting.
  • Maintain building exteriors and grounds; snow removal when needed.
  • Conduct life-safety inspections and drills.
  • On-call availability; may work outside normal hours.

In this work environment, all team members are part of a community and appreciated by the people they work with – residents and coworkers – every day.SummaryPerforms a variety of non-routine and skilled maintenance and repair activities on the community buildings and groundsResponsibilitiesCompletes work orders as assigned, through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), to repair or install equipment and machinery or HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, locks, grounds work and assist residents and/or customers with general maintenance needsPrepares apartments to bring them online, including painting, patching, making repairs, and any other tasks necessary to make unit ready for move inPerforms HVAC upkeep and repairs, tracks inventory, recommends purchases, and completes reportsConducts equipment maintenance, testing, lubricating, cleaning machinery, and reporting any equipment malfunctions, repairs or replaces defective itemsAssists in maintaining the appearance of the main buildings, outside buildings. and grounds, including snow removal and saltingMay be responsible for conducting inspections and drills (“Life Safety”) including but not limited to sprinkler inspections, fire drills, electrical inspections, bed inspections etc.May be required to perform painting (making residential units ready for move in, and painting in common areas); Skilled painting may comprise 80% or more of certain Maintenance Specialists’ job duties, and if so, that Specialist will be designated as that location’s primary painterRequired to remain on-call, when assignedQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
