Job summary

Ed Staub & Sons, Inc. is seeking a field-based technician who can work remotely within the Portland, OR area to support our regional sales team and customers at branded locations. The role offers variety, growth, and benefits including health, dental, life insurance, and 401k.

You will perform maintenance, painting, and basic repairs using common tools, with travel required to cover assigned locations. A strong handyman background, reliability, and customer service are essential to success.

• Painting and surface-preparation experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience using common hand and power tools.
• Ability to recognize maintenance, appearance, and facility issues.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Good customer-service and relationship-building skills.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Ability to use email, take and upload photographs, complete basic electronic reports, and work with simple spreadsheets or web-based systems.
• Ability to organize a territory and work independently with limited supervision.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be able to meet company driving and vehicle-insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout an assigned territory.
• Experience with gas stations, petroleum equipment, construction, facilities maintenance, retail branding, signage, painting, or mechanical repair is beneficial but not required.
