Job summary

Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a seasonal position in the Beaverton Tigard Area. Responsibilities will include a wide range of maintenance duties such as landscaping, pressure washing, and facility repairs. Position Type: Seasonal

Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a wide range of maintenance related duties, including but not limited to, landscaping, pressure washing, leaf blowing, cleaning parking lots and debris removal. This position is responsible for providing basic interior facility maintenance support in areas of plumbing, drywall and painting.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, temporary position.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with keeping the facility in a clean and orderly condition by providing basic interior facility maintenance support
• Provide outside facility maintenance to include landscaping, leaf blowing, pressure washing, parking lot cleaning, and debris removal
• Maintain organized records of repair details and communications
• Follow all company safety policies and practices
• Stand, climb, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. for an extended period on concrete floors
• Other job duties as assigned

Education / Experience

• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at all levels both internal and external
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to use MPulse Maintenance software
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes, follow through on issues in a timely manner, and give excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Familiar with OSHA safety requirements

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Work indoors and outdoors as needed in various temperatures/conditions.
• Occasional exposure to odors of empty beverage containers.
• Noise levels in designated areas require the use of approved hearing protection.
• Exposure to industrial equipment with moving mechanical parts.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to frequently push/pull carts, toolboxes, parts, etc. up to 50+lbs.
• Talking and hearing is frequently required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Must be able to bend/stoop/crouch/squat.
• Must be able to use arms/wrists/hands/grasp.
• Must be able to climb and balance on ladders as needed.
• Must sit in vehicles for extended periods when traveling to worksites.
