Full Time, Day Shift, M-F with some weekends
Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent with basic math skills
Preferred: Knowledge of diesel engines, generators, fire pump, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers. Two years of maintenance experience in a hospital setting. Must hold or be eligible for a boiler operator’s license, with licensing required within six months of employment. Capable of performing preventative maintenance on emergency generators, fire extinguishers, and related equipment within six months.

Work environment includes noise and dirt, proximity to emergency generators, fire pump, and high-pressure steam equipment. Tasks involve close-up eye work, color perception, hearing soft sounds, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance, and pushing/pulling up to 200 lbs.
Responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs of emergency generator systems, fire pump, sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, and related equipment. Maintains building and equipment in good repair, conducts inspections, installations, and repairs. Knowledge of high-pressure steam boilers and related equipment is required. Must work effectively under difficult and emergency conditions with minimal supervision. Will train new employees in preventative maintenance, hospital layout, weekend duties, etc.
